MRs. Armstead's 3rd Grade Class
Homework:
Students will have weekly homework choices each week. These are due on Friday. Absent/Late Work:
3rd grade is a big year for learning responsibility! If a student is absent, he/she has the number of days missed to make up the assignment (example: absent 2 days - student has 2 days to make up the work) Late work: An assignment will be marked down 10 percent for every day late. (example: if an assignment would have earned a 95%, but it was turned in 1 day late, it will only receive an 85%, 2 days - 75% ...) Birthdays:
If you would like to bring in a birthday treat, you are welcome to bring in a peanut free treat for each student (we have 21 students). Please limit the birthday treat to one per student (example: cookies - not cookies AND cupcakes) so we do not have any upset stomachs! :) Also, please check with me before in case of any allergies. If students would like to bring cupcakes for other teachers, they can be passed out before or after school. Toys/Technology:
Any toy brought to school by a student is that student's responsibility. Please keep in mind that toys should only be out of backpacks during recess. If technology, including cell phones and tablets, is brought to school, it should never come out of the student's backpack. Our classroom is a safe place to learn, grow, and be our best.

Snack:
3rd graders need to bring in their own snack to school everyday. Let's treat our snacks as brain food - a healthy snack is preferred. Invitations/Gifts:
School is a great place for friends to grow together! If you would like to pass out any invitations or gifts during school, please make sure that there are enough for everyone in the class (we have 21 students). Any personal invitations or gifts that do not include the whole class need to be given out of school. Thanks for your cooperation! Classroom Expectations:
Mrs. Armstead's awesome students: 1. Are good listeners 2. Follow directions 3. Are kind and respectful 4. Take an active role in their learning (always participate and do your best!) |
